(Before It's News)

For those who say there won’t be a rapture, guess what,

there are actually seven raptures or resurrections that are described in the Bible.

Three have already happened and four more will happen soon.

Here is a chronological account of them.

Rapture refers to the living being caught up to heaven whereas resurrection refers

to the dead being raised to life and/or then being raptured.

So in both cases the living are caught up or raptured.

1. Enoch was the first to be raptured by God.

2. Elijah was next.

3. Jesus was next.  He was resurrected and then raptured to heaven.

4. All Christians who have ever died

5. and those Christians who are still alive when the trumpet is blown will be next.

6. Next are those that became Christians(who will be killed for their faith in Jesus)

during the Great Tribulation.

7. Then the 144,000 “firstfruits” are taken up to heaven.

-----------------------------------

1. Enoch was the first to be raptured by God.

Enoch lived 365 years, walking in close fellowship with God. Then one day he disappeared, because God took him. (1) It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying “he disappeared, because God took him.” For before he was taken up, he was known as a person who pleased God. (2)

2. Elijah was next.

As they were walking along and talking, suddenly a chariot of fire appeared, drawn by horses of fire. It drove between the two men, separating them, and Elijah was carried by a whirlwind into heaven. (3)

3. Jesus was next.  He was resurrected and then raptured to heaven.

Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. (4)

After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him. As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!” (5)

All Christians who have ever died and those Christians who are still alive when the trumpet is blown will be next.

Non rapture believers miss it here. When Jesus returns, He meets the Christians IN THE CLOUDS. This is NOT his second coming. He comes for his Church, meets them IN THE CLOUDS, and takes them to Heaven. After the Tribulation, when Jesus returns to earth, (his second coming) he comes WITH these same Christians and this is when he sets up his Kingdom on earth and the Christians reign and rule with Him for 1000 years. Read it, it’s very clear.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. (6)

But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. (7)

The Apostle John was taken up to Heaven and shown the events of the Last Days which he wrote down in the Book of Revelation.

Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.” And instantly I was in the Spirit, and I saw a throne in heaven and someone sitting on it. The one sitting on the throne was as brilliant as gemstones like jasper and carnelian. And the glow of an emerald circled his throne like a rainbow. Twenty-four thrones surrounded him, and twenty-four elders sat on them. They were all clothed in white and had gold crowns on their heads. (8)

Next are those that became Christians during the Great Tribulation.

This is why most believe that the Church will be raptured to Heaven BEFORE the Great Tribulation, because these Christians are the ones that became Christians DURING the Great Tribulation. And they will be killed for their faith in Jesus. They are not ALL the Christians who ever lived, just those that became Christians during the Tribulation. (P.S. This is why you should get saved NOW instead of later, so you don’t have to be killed for your faith. That won’t be easy because the Antichrist will force you to join his system (NWO) and worship his image and ” caused all who refused to worship the image to be killed”.

Revelation 13:15

After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands….. Then one of the twenty-four elders asked me, “Who are these who are clothed in white? Where did they come from?” And I said to him, “Sir, you are the one who knows.” Then he said to me, “These are the ones who died in the great tribulation. They have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and made them white. (9)

7. Then the 144,000 “firstfruits” are taken up to heaven.

See also Revelation 7:4-8 where 144,000,

twelve thousand from each of the 12 tribes of Israel are sealed with a seal of God.
